I admit that until recently I have had a glue phobia. I rarely had let my kids use the stuff by themselves before I started this blog. I was so afraid of the mess, but little by little I have been facing my fears and letting them take charge of their art projects. It really has been a good experience, plus we get to do fun things like this easy firework art I discovered in the latest issue of Family Fun magazine.
You need dark blue or purple paper (night sky), glue, and things to stick to your glue - we used glitter, some leftover rainbow rice, sugar sprinkles, and dyed pasta.
Let your child draw a design with the glue, sprinkle the glitter or whatever you have on hand, shake off the excess and repeat until it looks just right to you. There's really no wrong way to do it.
It's Playtime and The Sunday Showcase.
